In this quest I have displayed some free and not so free authoring tools that can be used in the classroom. Please watch the videos to get a better understanding of how use each tool.
Edmodo.com - This is a free virtual learning and social media network for students. The students don't need an email address to sign up. It is very interactive. Here is a video about how to use it.
Dipity.com - A free interactive timeliner authoring tool
Free Online Book Builder
Articulate Storyline and Adobe E-Learning Suite 2.5 are both paid authoring tools (both cost around $1400). Here is an analysis of them both. Adobe Captivate is harder to learn per the video. Both of these tools offer a 30 day free trial.
TTKnowledge Force - This looks like a nice authoring tool that can be used in business. Unfortunately the pricing is not available online, so you have to contact a salesman. That usually means that it costs tons of money.
